Saqib Mahmood serves as the Group Chief Commercial Officer at National Bonds Corporation. In his role, he oversees the development and execution of an integrated strategy for the Commercial Division, in line with the vision and long-term strategic objectives of National Bonds. He provides direction to all Acquisition and Service channels, which include Branch Network, Wealth Management, Contact Center, Digital Channels, Distributors, and Outsourced partners, assisting both individual and corporate customers.

Saqib holds more than 27 years of professional experience in both the public and private sectors. In the last 17 years of his professional career, he has been working as a banking professional focusing on Retail and SME Banking. He has vast experience in multiple geographies across the Middle East, Africa & Pakistan. Prior to joining National Bonds, he was Executive Vice President at Faysal Bank heading Branch Banking with a network of more than 500 branches across the country. In his role, he was also spearheading the transformation of the bank from a Conventional into an Islamic Bank. He was also responsible for the Branch Led Model of transforming the branches into Business Hubs dealing in Commercial, SME, and retail businesses offering Financing, Trade, and Liability products. Before that he was a Managing Director at Al Hilal Bank Heading Retail and SME Business in The United Arab Emirates where he spent more than 10 years. Before Al Hilal Bank, Saqib was working with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) working in Pakistan and then at the Regional Office based out of Dubai. During his time at SCB, he had the opportunity to Head both Business and Risk Management functions in multiple geographies across Pakistan, Middle East, and Africa. 

Saqib Mahmood completed his MBA at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He has attended multiple courses in banking and Islamic Finance.
