Afif Ramadan is the Group Chief Financial Officer at National Bonds Corporation, a position he has held since November 2024.  In his current role, Mr. Ramadan oversees financial strategy, business performance and analytics, financial and regulatory reporting, financial controls and tax, and investor relations.

Afif is a seasoned Chief Financial Officer with 3 decades of experience in the financial services industry in the Gulf and Levant region, where he has held key senior positions at country, regional, and global levels, in leading financial institutions, namely Citibank, Barclays Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and KPMG.

Prior to joining National Bonds Corporation, Afif held several senior positions at Standard Chartered Bank, including Chief Financial Officer Qatar, Chief Financial Officer Bahrain and Gulf countries (excluding UAE), Regional Head of Finance Controls and Governance for Africa and Middle East region based out of Dubai, and Global Head of Group CFO Transformation – Country Finance, based in Dubai.  Afif also served as Finance Director for Barclays Bank in Dubai, and Chief Financial Officer for Citibank Corporate and Investment Banking business in Dubai.

Afif holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut.
