Asset Allocation
ASSET ALLOCATION
Diversification is a cornerstone of our investment philosophy. No single asset class can carry a portfolio through every market cycle, so we allocate across a range of asset classes to build a balanced portfolio designed to perform through changing economic conditions.
Our portfolio is structured across five core asset classes:
Cash & Money Markets
Preserves capital, maintains liquidity, and provides steady short-term returns.
Fixed Income
A core component of the portfolio, where high-quality investments deliver consistent, stable returns.
Equities
Investments in fundamentally strong companies that drive long-term capital appreciation, with a focus on defensive, high-quality names.
Alternatives
Exposure to private assets that broadens diversification and strengthens portfolio resilience through sources of return less correlated to public markets.
Real Estate
High-quality real estate projects expand the portfolio and generate durable, long-term value through disciplined, value-driven strategies.

Governance
Strong governance underpins every investment decision at National Bonds. Accountability, oversight, and discipline are built into the structure of the investment process at every level, from strategy through to execution.
Strategic Oversight
The Board of Directors sets the overall direction of the investment framework, while the Investment Committee oversees implementation of the strategy and monitors portfolio performance.
Execution & Accountability
The Group Chief Investment Officer leads the Investment Team in formulating and executing the strategy, ensuring all activity remains within established policies, guidelines, and risk parameters.
Independent Assurance
Independent risk, compliance, and internal control functions promote accountability and transparency across the process.
Shari'a Governance
The Shari'a Supervisory Board ensures every investment adheres to Shari'a principles at each stage of the process.
