Shahid Hameed

Shahid Hameed, CFA serves as Group Chief Investment Officer (GCIO) at National Bonds Corporation, where he leads the management of the company's investment portfolio across a broad range of asset classes including Money Markets, Equities, Fixed Income & Private Credit, and Alternatives.

In this role, Hameed is central to advancing National Bonds' strategic investment objectives and its disciplined investment approach.

He brings over three decades of experience in investment management, much of it shaping the asset management landscape across the MENA region. Over his career, he has held senior leadership positions in several Gulf markets, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

Hameed previously served as Head of Fund Management at Samba Capital and as Chief Investment Officer at both Global Investment House and SICO, building a strong track record across diverse and complex market environments.

He holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi and is a CFA charterholder, having earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute in Charlottesville, USA.
